19 Andreas Know all men by these presents that I James Radcliffe of the parish of KK Andreas for and in consideration of the love and goodwill and affection which I have and do bear towards my dutyfull and well beloved son Wm Radcliffe of this parish upon whole care and assistance I do now wholly depend for a livelihood in this my old-age, feeble condition and declining years have given, granted, and passed over and gifted and by this presents do give, grant, and for ever freely and absolutely passover by deed of gift unto im my son William Radcliffe his execs and assignses all and singular my goods and effects of what kind nature or denomination soever from 1779 this James Radcliffe my heirs execs adms and assignes to have and to hold unto him my son Wm Radcliffe his execs adms and assignes the promises and every individual part of the farms for ever as afforesd from and after the date of this presonts. He my son Wm Radcliffe hereby obliging himself his heirs and execs (in consideration of this deed of gift to take all due care of me and procurs and provides all things necessary for me during my natural and after my decease to see me decently buryed,-- an as delivery possession or seizen of the promises I have with this presents deliered unto him my son Wm Radcliffe a piece of silver called anEnglish shilling according to the __________ and accustomed manner and for the true and faithful performance herso both I this James Radcliffe and Wm Radcliffe my son do hereby bind and oblige ourselves as far as it concerns each of us ) and our respective heirs execs adms and assignees in possibly of twenty pounds sterling to be levied and paid according to the law and practice within ths Isle as witness our names and marks this 16th of Jan 1754.
