Malew
The last will and testament of Christian Bridson of Malew
wife to John Bridson, who departed this life the 16th April 1760
being in perfect mind and memory at the making hereof:
First, she committed her soul to God and her body to be
decently and Christian-like buried.
Lastly she nominated, constituted and ordained and appointed
her ONLY DAUGHTER ELLINOR BRIDSON whole and sole Executrix
of all her goods moveable and immoveable what kind or nature
whatever cutting of all or and lays claim to any of her
effects with sixpence legacy each and moreover ordered
and appointed her … daughter Ellinor to take care of and
act as guardian over her BROTHER CHRISTOPHER BRIDSON and
this she declared to be her last will and testament before us.
ELEANOR BRIDSON THE EXECUTRIX sworn in court in form of law,
her brother Christopher Bridson being now present in court
and having consented thereat, and she hath given pledges
for the payment of debts and legacies, namely, William Graham
and Edward Cowin, both of Douglas
