        This is afirmed to be the Last will and testament of Willm
Corteen of the Parish of Kk Maughold who Departed this Life about
the 2th of December 1759 Being at perfect mind and memory at the
makeing hereof
First he Committed his Soul to god and body to a Christian Burial.
Item he Left and bequeathed to his daughter Margrett Eight pounds
        and if ye sd Daughter should Die under age that the sd Eight
        pounds was to Return unto his beloved wife Margarett

Lastly he Nominated Constituted and appointed his Beloved wife Margt
        whole and sole Execx of all the Rest of his goods and Efects
        moveable and Imoveable of what Kind or nature soever Ex[cyct]
        [s]ing sixpence Legacy to every one that Claim to Right in the
        [E]ffects of this will and to the witnesses two pence apiece.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezaire June 25 1760

The Execrx is sworn in Court in form of Law. she undertakes
the Tuition of the orphan & her Goods, & has given pledges
for payment of Debts & Legacies namely Wm [Kennish or Kerruish]
& Edwd Cowle both of Maughold
Thos Corteen uncle to ye orphan by the father's side is
sworn supervisor in form of Law.
