This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Margaret Taggart
otherwise Callin of Castletown widow who departed this life on or about the
23d day of February 1761 being of sound mind and memory at the making
thereof.
First She comitted her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
She left the sum of three pounds as also her part of that house called the
Shop in the upper end of Church Street in Castletown aforesaid to her son
William.
She left twenty shillings and a big chest to her daughter Jane as also half
a piece or her share of a piece of made stuff that was in the house to her
said daughter Jane.
She left her half shares of the house and garden belonging to her in
Castletown and situated between Margt Waterson's and Cubon's houses in the
Church Street to William Butler her son in law and Margaret his wife her
daughter. And also nominated and appointed her said daughter Margaret
Butler otherwise Taggart whole and sole executrix of all the rest of her
goods and effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever and debarred and
excluded all and every person that would claim any right thereunto with six
pence legacy a piece -

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown 3d June 1761 William Butler the
husband in behalf of himself and Margaret his wife is sworn executor in
court in form of law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and
legacies namely John McCrea and William Gell the witnesses of the will
Probatum est Ro:Radcliffe.
