                        Douglas ------ June 1st 1761

Edmund Corteen perished by a fall of Douglas Quay
on or about the 6th day of May last Intestate ~
The Court upon Intelligence thereof hath Decreed
his two Children namely Cath: & Ann Corteen joint
Adminrs of all his Goods & Chattels moveable and
immoveable whatsoever, who being both under
age, Thos. Corteen uncle by the father's side is
sworn supervisor & has the Decd's part of the
Children & their Goods committed unto him
he is to bring a perfect Inventory to the Registry
& hath given pledges for payment of Debts according
to Law as also for forthcoming of the Children's 
Goods namely Nichs Quirk & Robt Craine both
of kk Braddan ~ The widow is likewise sworn
to render a just account of the Goods –

At KK Patrick June 19th 1777

Catherine & Ann Corteen two of the children of the forenamed
Intestate Edmd Corteen have acknowledged to have this day
recd of their uncle Thos Corteen all the goods & effects due
unto them by the Decease of their said Father & do hereby
acquit exonerate & discharge the said Thos Corteen & every
other Person of the same & every Part thereof ~ as Witness
their Names J Kaske? The Day above written ~~~
