In the name of God, Amen. I Ellinor Radcliffe 
widow of Captn. Charles Radcliffe of Knockaloe 
being sick and weak in body but of perfect 
mind and memory praised be to God, do make 
this my last Will and Testament in manner 
and form following. First, I commit my soul 
to God and my body to Christian burial, 
hoping for pardon of all my sins through 
the merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour. 
I leave and bequeath unto Thomas Corkan’s 
two poor daughters the sum of ten shillings 
to buy them some clothes. 
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter 
Jane Shimmin in Ramsey all my sheep in 
KK Maughold legacy together with the sum 
of ten pounds. I leave and bequeath unto 
my daughter Cathrine Radcliffe the sum 
of five pounds legacy. 
Item, I leave and bequeath unto my daughter 
Ellinor Moore the sum of five pounds which 
said sum of five pounds is to remain in 
my executor’s hands and to be given unto 
my said daughter Ellinor as she shall 
have occasion and need for the same. 
Item, whereas I have given and lent unto 
my daughter Margery Parr several sums of 
money at sundry times, I do leave and 
bequeath the same unto her and that she 
is not to be accountable for the same 
to anyone. I leave unto my daughter 
Ann Karran whatever moneys she has of 
mine in her hands. And it is my will 
that she is not to be accountable for 
the same. Item, I leave unto my granddaughter 
Ellinor Christian my feather bed. I 
leave and bequeath unto daughters 
Cathrine Radcliffe and Jane Shimmin 
all my blankets and sheets and they 
to give unto my daughter Ellinor some 
of them as I have given directions. 
Item, I leave unto my son in law the 
Revd. Robert Radcliffe a moidore[?] legacy. 
Lastly, I do nominate constitute and 
appoint my son Thomas Radcliffe sole 
executor of all the rest of my goods 
moveable and immoveable whatsoever. 
In testimony whereof I have set my 
mark to my name this seventeenth 
day of June 1758.
