This is affirmed to be the joint will and testament of John Kelly of the
Mona Mollagh in the parish of KK Michael and Elizabeth Kelly alias Caine his
wife which said will or testament was made and published about the beginning
of the month of February last 1762. The testator John Kelly having departed
this life on or about the 24th of the said month of February last but being
of sound mind and memory at the making and declaring of his said will
conjunctly and jointly with his said wife as aforesaid.
First they the said John Kelly and Elizabeth his wife aforesaid (being then
both sick) committed their souls to God and their bodies to Christian
burial.
First they the said John Kelly and Elizabeth Kelly Caine his wife aforesaid
did jointly and unanimously settle and estate upon their eldest son John
Kelly all their concerns of houses and lands within the parish of KK Michael
together with all the husbandry gears vizt the moiety or one half of the
said houses and lands and husbandry gears to be immediately possessed and
enjoyed by him the said John Kelly their eldest son aforesaid and the other
half immediately upon the decease of the longer liver of his parents (John
Kelly the testator and Elizabeth his wife aforesaid) free and debtless and
without any manner of incumbrance whatsoever and that upon their said eldest
son John Kelly's possessing or enjoying of the premises vizt according to
the season, half the crop of corn cultivated and sown.
Secondly the said John Kelly Senior the testator and Elizabeth his wife
aforesaid did settle estate upon their said son John Kelly all their part or
share to and in certain crop in Gland wollin in the parish of KK Michael
distinguished by the name of Mullen Han---- the same to be possessed and
enjoyed by the said John Kelly Junior upon the decease of the longer liver
of the parents aforesaid no sooner.
He the said John Kelly upon his possessing and enjoying the said Miln pay
the sum of forty pounds to his three sisters Jane, Elizabeth, and Christian
Kelly vizt twenty pounds to Jane and ten pounds each to the other two
sisters Elizabeth and Christian Kelly and the said John Kelly Senior the
testator and Elizabeth his wife aforesaid declared and expressed that a
--------- in their keeping was the property and right of their said son John
Kelly and also that one half of a heifer having a white fore---- in their
keeping was the right and property of their said son John Kelly Junior the
other half of which heifer they the said testator John Kelly Sen and
Elizabeth his wife bequeathed and settled entirely upon the said son John
Kelly Junior.
Item the testator John Kelly Senior and Elizabeth his wife aforesaid jointly
betwixt them left the sum of five pounds to their daughter Ellinor the wife
of Thomas Garret besides a sheet. And to their son Robert Kelly they left
the like sum of five pounds and to their grandson Wm Garrett they left two
sheep.
Lastly the said John Kelly Senior the testator and Elizabeth Kelly alias
Caine his wife aforsaid did unanimously make the beforegoing will and
testament and left and appointed the survivor or longer liver of them two to
be executrix of the goods and effects of the first deceding person. Ron S.

March 10th 1774 John Cannon husband of Jane Kelly acknowledge to have
received from John Kelly Junior the sum of twenty pounds a legacy bequeathed
his wife by the last will of her father John Kelly with legacy John Kelly
Junior was to pay on his possessing a certain water corn mill and he does
hereby acquit release and discharge the said John Kelly Junior of said
legacy of twenty pounds as witness his mark to his name the day and date
above written. John Cannon.
March 18th 1774 Elizabeth and Christian Kelly received ten pounds from their
bother John Kelly.
At Ballaugh 20 Apr 1772
Thos Garrett husband of Ellinor Kelly daughter of John Kelly of Moaney
Mollagh in the parish of KK Michael received from his mother in law Elizth
Kelly executrix the sum of two pounds ten shilling in full of the legacy
bequeathed unto his wife.
20 Apr 1772 Robert Kelly received two pounds ten shilling.
