In the name of God, Amen. I Ann Leece als Parr
wife of John Leece of BallaLeece, in the parish 
of KK German, being weak & feeble in body, but 
of sound & perfect memory do make this my last 
will & testament, in manner following: 
First, I commit my soul into the hands of my 
gracious Creator, and my body to Christian burial. 
I leave and bequeath unto my dear mother, 
in trust for my three children all my wearing 
apparel of what kind or sort soever, to be 
by her divided among them, equally. But if 
my said mother Marjery Parr shall think meed 
to reserve my said clothes or wearing apparel 
unto her own proper use or otherwise, then 
my will is that she shall quietly possess them, 
she giving them what part of them she shall 
think most proper and necessary for them. 
I nominate and appoint my brother Captn 
Cæsar Parr & Mr. John Taubman junior of 
Castletown attorney at law, guardians of 
my children. Lastly, I nominate and appoint 
my three children John, Ellinor & Margaret 
Leece joint executors of the rest of my 
effects of what kind or denomination soever. 
In testimony whereof I have hereunto 
subscribed my mark to my name this 6th d
ay of April 1762.

At a Chapter Court holden at Ballnahowin 18th June 1762
the executors named in the written Will, 
vizt., John, Ellinor, & Margaret Leece being 
all under age, and Capt Cæsar Parr brother to 
the testatrix and one of the guardians named 
in the within will being at present out of 
this Island & Mr. John Taubman being absent,
Philip Quirk, husband of Mary Quirk als Parr 
sister to the deceased is in the meantime 
in the absence of the said Cæsar Parr sworn 
executor in trust as also supervisor of the 
said children, and is to bring to the registry 
a true and perfect inventory of the goods 
belonging to the said children, and to sell 
the same at public auction for the best 
advantage of all concerned. He is also 
sworn for the payment of debts and legacies 
for which he hath given pledges namely Mr James Parr of
Peeltown and William Quine of KK Patrick. 

John Leece husband of the testatrix hath agreed 
in Court that all said children shall be committed 
to said Mr. James Parr the grandfather, to whom 
he the said John Leece hath engaged to pay on 
his part for the maintenance and cloaking of 
the said children the sum of seven pounds yearly 
for the space of two years commencing
from the death of the testatrix
