KK Arbory July 14 1762
This is affirmed as the Last Will& Testament of
John Qualtrough of KK Arbory ---
First: He Bequeathed his Soul to God & His Body
to Christian Burial
Item: He left unto his Son Willm his Right of the Mill viz
Kentragh Miln as also his Right of all the Houses Gardens
& Lands thereunto belonging. He Left also unto his sd Son
William a low & the Bed & bed-Clothes whereon He lay
as also a Chest, an Oak Pole & all his Sheep equally
between sd William & his Daughters Elinr & Alice
& in case sd William ……….. or Contended with the Execrs
hereafter Named about sd Will or the Profits thereof for
the time past that then & in that case sd William was to be
entirely cut off or Debarr’d from the Testators Right to sd
Mill & all thereunto belonging & to be divided equally between the
Execrs.
Item: He Left unto his Sons William & Henry & his Daughters
Elinor & Alice the four Horses equally between them as also
the four lams between them in like manner.
Item: He left unto his Son Henry a Low called Hutchin’s Heifer in
place of half a Heifer Left Him by his Mother as also that the
Execrs pay him sd Henry a Boul Of Oats & six Kishs of Barley wch
was also Left him by his Mother & He left unto him his sd Son Henry
& His Daughters Elinor & Alice his Right of all His Houses & Lands
in Balla Killpatrick as also of the Intacks called Birule equally
between them & in case sd Henry sh… or contended with sd Elinor &
Alice about sd Houses & Lands or Intacks or about sd chattels? or
profits thereof of them for the time past & in that time? Henry was to
be entirely cut of or Debarred from the Testators Right of sd Houses &
Lands & Intacks &the same to be divided equally between
the Execrs.
Item: He left to His Daughter Cath. five shillings cutting her
sd Cath off from any other Right with sixpence Legacy.
Item: He Left equally between his Son Henry & his Daughters Elinor
& Alice the Plow & Plow Geers & the Harrow.
Lastly He Nominated & Appointed his sd Daughters Elinor & Alice
Co-Execrs of all the rest of his Goods moveable & immoveable
Cutting off all other claimers with sixpence Legacy.
The Testator also Mentioned that there was Part of a Boat & ……
belonging to his sd sons William & Henry wch they themselves
were at the expense of & to which he had no Right.
He also Appointed that the Corn & Meal which was in the House
should be used in the House for Bread for them four viz Henry
William Elinor & Alice.
The Testator also Left a Shilling
a piece to the witnesses of this Will.

At a Court of Correction holden in Castletown 11th Febry 1762.
John Cashen Husband of Eleanr. (one of the Execrs xxd out) together
with Alice are sworn Co-Execrs in Court in form
of Law & have given Pledges for the Payment of Debts &
Legacies, namely Wm Gill & Henry Costean the Witnesses
of the Will.

20th Octr 1762 This day William Qualtrough & Henry Qualtrough sons of the
Testator John Qualtrough came to the Registry & acknowledged that they had
received from John Cashen husband of Eleanor Cashen one of the Execrs as
also from Alice the other Execr ……….of their several expected? Legacies
Bequeathed to them by their sd father and do hereby acquit discharge &
Release the sd John Cashen & Alice Qualtrough their Execrs Adms & assigns thereafter.
