This is affirmed to be the last will and testament 
of JOHN MOORE of Ballavilley in the parish of 
St. Ann, who departed this life the 8th February 1763, 
being in perfect mind and memory in making hereof.  
First, He committed his soul to God and 
his body to a Christian burial.  
Secondly, He bequeathed to his ELDEST SON 
WILLIAM MOORE one bowel of oats for collecting 
his debts for his Executrices.  
Item, He bequeathed to his DAUGHTER ELIZABETH five pounds.  
Item, He bequeathed to his SON THOMAS MOORE eight 
pounds with the consent of my loving WIFE KATHRINE MOORE.  
Item, He bequeathed to his loving wife the feather 
bed that they laid upon in the present.  
Item, He bequeathed six pence legacy to any person 
or persons that can claim any right or title to this will.  
Lastly, He nominated and appointed his two 
DAUGHTERS ELENOR MOORE & ELIZABETH MOORE whole 
and sole executrices of all the rest of my goods 
and effects moveable and immoveable what soever.

AT A COURT OF CORRECTION HOLDEN at 
Castletown February 23, 1763
The Executrices are sworn in Court in 
form of Law and have given pledges for 
payment of debts and legacies namely 
WM. MOORE THEIR BROTHER and William Callow 
one of the Witnesses of the will
