This is affirmed to be the last Will and Testament of Margaret Key wife of Patrick
Key of Kirk Patrick who departed this life about the 14th March 1765. Being in
perfect mind and memory at the making thereof.
First: She committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial.
Item: She left unto her daughter Jane Key a black stuff gown and petty coat and the
sum of ten shillings as legacy.
Item: She left unto her daughter Margaret Key a brown gown and petty coat and the
sum of ten shillings legacy.
Item: She left unto her daughter Catharine Key six yards of blue stuff and a new little
wheel and a new mantle a new chequar apron and a new white handkerchief and the
sum of ten shillings legacy.
Lastly: She nominated and appointed her loving husband Patrick Key whole and sole
executor of all the rest of her goods of what kind soever moveable an unmoveable
excluding all other craving friends with sixpence a piece legacy.

At a chapter court holden at Balnyhowin June 21 1765. The executor is sworn in
court in form of Law and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely
the witnesses of the Will.
