       Santan
The humble petition of Elizth Moore of Ballnyhow in the parish of KK
Santan.
Sheweth:  That the petitioner's husband namely John Moore having departed
this life on or about the 25th day of July last who by his last
will and testament sometime published before his death hath appointed
the petitioner executrix and residuary legatee.
In the name of God Amen.   I John Moore of Ballnehow in the parish of KK
Santan being of sound and disposing mind and perfect memory and
mindful of the instability of this uncertain life do make this my last
will and testament in manner and form as hereafter mentioned.
First I commend my soul to God and body to Christian burial hoping
through the merits of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain pardon and
remission of all my sins and a joyful resurrection to Everlasting
Life.
 And as for the worldly good and effects wherewith it hath please God to
bless me I bequeath and dispose of them as they are in this my last will
hereafter set forth:
I give and bequeath to the poor of the parish of KK Santan one bowle(250
lbs) of barley to be distributed to the most needful of them within that
parish
at the end of six months after my decease.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Moore twenty pounds; to
John Moore my son twenty pounds; to my daughter Isable Kissack als Moore
twenty pounds; to my daughter Margaret Bridson als Moore twenty pounds; and
to my daughter Elizabeth Bridson als Moore twenty pounds; and my said
children are to be accountable to my executrix hereafter mentioned for what
cash they or any of them have received from me over and above their dowry or
marriage goods.
Item I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Cathrine Quayle als Moore the
sum of five pounds.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son John Moore aforesaid all my apparel of
what denomination soever.
Item I leave and bequeath to my grandson Charles Kissack the sum of forty
shillings.
Item I the before mentioned granter or testator John Moore and Elizabeth my
wife als Moore do hereby leave settle and convey our part of a certain
parcel of land part of the quarterland of Ballacorris in the aforesaid
parish of KK Santan purchased by us to our said son Thomas Moore and
Christopher Bridson and Margt his wife and their assigns they paying to
the executor of the survivor of us the prime cost of said premises of being
the sum of forty pounds.
Lastly I ordain and constitute my beloved wife Elizabeth Moore Executrix
of all the rest of my goods and effects moveable and immoveable of what kind
or nature soever.  And I do hereby revoke disannual all former wills,
legacies, or bequests heretofore by me made or declared ratifying and
confirming this my last will and testament as witness my name and
mark this 18th day of June 1766.  John Moore, Elizth Moore my x mark Signed
and deliver and published and declared by the said John Moore and Elizth
Moore his wife as their mutual settlement and for his last will
and testament in the presence of us whose names are here under written who
did each of us subscribe our names as witnesses at the request of
the said John Moore and his wife and in their presence in the room where
they then were.
