The Last will and testament of Alice Kaighin als Boddaugh 
of KK Michael who Departed this Life about the 16th of 
Aprill Last past Being Sick and weak in body but of perfect 
Mind and Memory at the makeing Hereof Made this her Last 
will and testament in Manner and form following – 
First – She Committed her soul to God and body to Christian Burial –
Item – She Left to her two Daughters all her Clothes and 
Linnings Equally Betwixt them.
She Left to her Dau. Chatrine A Sheet and Blankett.
She Left to Elizabeth her dau. in law a Check bedgown 
which was unpaid and if she would pay for it.
She Left to her dau. Margt. A fether bed and a blanket of 
… of they --- pleased to pay --- as ---
She Left to Christian Cannell her Grand dau. one sheep.
She left to her son Henry all the Rest of her part of the 
sheep and a cow called Moneag and the Little Heifer. –
She Left and Bequeathed all the Rest of her Goods to her 
two sons John and Henry Equally betwixt them moveable and 
immovable of what Nature or kind soever Excluding and 
Deburing any person or persons what shall Claime further 
into this will with Six pence Legacy.
And one Shilling each to the witnesses of this will

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael Novr. 12, 1766
The Execs are sworn in Court in form of Law and likewise 
to be just the one to the other in the Division of the 
Goods & have Pledges for payment of Debts & Legacies 
namely Wm. Cowley & Thos. Christian, both of KK Michael
Probatum est

I Henry Kaighin do hereby acknowledge to have received from 
my Brother John Kaighin the sheep, a Cow and a Heiffer 
bequeathed to me, the said Henry Kaighin in the last Will 
and testament of my Mother Alice Kaighin also Boddaugh of 
the Parish of KK Michael recorded in the Auth Regry Lib D.. 
Testam Anno Dom 1766 & Do hereby acquit exonerate & discharge 
the sd. John Kaighin & every other person of the same & 
every Part thereof a Witness my name & Mark this 15th Day of 
August 1770.
