This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament of Cooney Key alias Cottier widow
of the parish of Kirk Patrick who departed this life about the 7th of November 1767.
Being in perfect mind and memory at the making thereof.
First: She committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial.
Item: She left unto her son Gilbert Key the sum of three pounds and her riding hood
unto the said Gilbert’s wife.
Item: she left unto her Grandson Thos. Key heir of Ballaglonney the sum of ten
shillings.
Item: She left unto her Grand Daughters Margaret Key and Isabel Key all her Holy
Day cloaths equally between them.
Item: She left unto the said Margaret Key one of the best blankets in the house.
Item: She left unto William Gell heir of Ballelby a piece of Gold that she had received
from the said William Gell’s father.
Lastly: She nominated and appointed her son Thomas Key whole and sole executor of
all the rest of her goods of what kind soever moveable and unmoveable.

At a court of correction holden in Peeltown 12th February 1768.
The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies namely William Quine and Charles Key one of the
Witnesses of the Will, both of Kirk Patrick.
