Ballaugh
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of John Cross of
Ballaugh who departed this life on or about the 17th of Sept 1767 being
of perfect mind and memory at the making thereof.
First He committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial.
2ndly He left his wearing apparel to Henry Quayle if his daughter Jane Cross
would be willing to give it him.
Thirdly He left six pence to any person or persons that would shrive or
desire to break this his last will and testament.
Fourthly And Lastly He nominated ordained and appointed his foresaid
daughter Jane Cross to be sole executrix of all the rest of his worldly
goods and chattels moveable and immoveable.

At a Court of Correction holden at KK Michael Mar 7 1768 the executrix
is sworn in court in form of law and has given pledges for payment of debts
and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
