         Santan
John Quine of Glantrargh in the parish of KK Santan being of perfect mind
and sound memory but weak in body at the making hereof declared the
following to be his last will and testament.
First He committed his soul to God Almighty and his body to Christian
burial.
Item:  He left and bequeathed his loving wife a trunk and the bed whereon he
then lay and likewise the brewing pan during her natural life and whatever
flax and wool that is spun in the house to be as formerly.
Item:  He left his son Paul Quine five pounds together with a bed.
Item: He left to his son Thos Quine five pounds together with a bed.
Item: He left to his daughter Ellinor eleven pounds together with a press
that is now in the house, a bed, and a pewter dish.
Item: He left his daughter Margaret his part of a heifer together with six
pewter plates.
Item: He left his grandson John Taggart his part of the sheep that they had
in partnership.
Item: He left Jane Cain a sheep.
Lastly He constituted nominated and appointed his son and heir John
Quine to be sole and whole executor of all the rest of his goods and
effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever.

The executor is sworn in court in form of law and has given pledges for
payment of debts and legacies namely Thos Callow and Robert Brew both
of KK Santan               Probatums Est   Matths Curhey

At Douglas 21 Nov 1783
Ellinor Quine one of the legatees in the before written will named
acknowledged to have rec'd from John Quine the executor of the said will the
legacy of eleven pounds bequeathed unto her in the will and she the said
Ellinor Quine oath hereby acquit exonerate and discharge the said executor
his exors admors and assigns of the same and every part thereof.  As witness
her mark to her name this day month and year
