57   Rushen 1768
The last will and testament of Sarah Taylor als Oates 
who departed this life in the month of March 1768. 
First, she commended her soul to God and her body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, she left and bequeathed to her daughter Margery 
McGrey als Taylor eight shillings. 
Item, she left and bequeathed to her grandson William 
Taylor a pot. 
Item, she left and bequeathed a barrel to her 
granddaughter Margaret Taylor. 
Item, she left and bequeathed all her apparel linen 
and woolen equally between her two daughters vizt., 
the said Margery and Jane Callister als Corrin and 
the bed she then lay on to the said Jane, together 
with her shoes. 
Item, she left six pence to her son Henry Corrin. 
Lastly, she nominated and appointed her son Richard 
Taylor sole executrix of all the rest of her goods 
moveable and immoveable and deprived all others that 
might claim right to her goods with six pence legacy each.

Amy Waterson. 

At a Chapter Court holden in 
Castletown 15th June 1768
the executor is sworn in Court in form of law, 
and hath given pledges for the payment of debts 
and legacies, namely John Nelson and 
Joseph Qualtrough both of Rushen
