This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament 
of Margret Scarffe als Cowle of the Parish of KK Lonan 
who departed this life about the 26th of March 1768 – 
being then sick and weak in body but of perfect mind & memory 
at the making thereof.  First commiting her Soul to God and 
body to Christian Burial.  And as to her worldly Goods & Effects 
she bequested them in manner following.

She bequeathed to Ann wife of Philip Scarffe her Brother in 
law her two worse or every Day Gowns all her Pettycoats what
soever & stockings and all her Linen Clothes.

She left and bequeathed her Cloak to Margrite Quark.

She bequeathed to Ellinor wife of Philip Moore one of her blue 
Gowns and her brown Gown to Jane wife of Danl Scarffe her brother 
in law.

She left & bequeathed to the aforesd Ann wife of Philip 
Scarffe her other blue Gown, bedgown & a New Check apron.
She left and bequeathed to Danl Scarffe her Brother in law ten 
shillings and allowed also one shilling & six pence to Each 
of the witnesses of her will.  She further left six pence Legacy 
to any person or persons that would Claim any Rights to her 
Effects.

     Lastly she nominated and appointed her only Son & 
Heir John Scarffe whole & sole Exec’r of all the rest of her 
Goods and Chattels moveable & immoveable whatsoever.
