Kirk Bride
The last will and Testament of Joney Christian
who departed this life about the 2nd day of
February 1767 being of perfect mind and memory
at the making thereof first she committed her soul
to god and body to Christian burial.
Item She left to her daughter Isabel and her daughter
Mary a bed each as they lay as legacy –
Item She left to her daughter Isabel all the goods
named on the said legacy –
Item She left to her daughter a cow called Meengee
and a speckled female calf legacy –
Item She left to her daughter Mary her new gown legacy
Item She left to her daughter Catherine a brown petty
coat and a suit of caps legacy –
Item She left to her son William twenty shillings legacy –
Item She left to her three grand-daughters Catherine,
Isabel and Joney Christian a cap each legacy
Item She left her daughter in law Catherine Christian a
suit of caps legacy
Item She left her grandson William Christian (heir
of the Estate) tub of barley, tub of placket and a tub
of small oats legacy and case the said William Christian
do contend with her Executric here after mentioned for
the herbage he is to be debarred of the said legacy.
Item She left Ewan Crow a blanket legacy
Lastly she nominated and appointed her two daughters
Isabela and Mary Christian whole Executrix of all the
rest of the goods movable and unmovable whatsoever and
a British shilling each to the witnesses of her will

At a chapter court holden a Lezayre 21 Jun 1768.
The Exocutrix are sworn in Court in form of Law and have
pledged for the payment of debts and legacies, namely John
Kneale Kimmoragh and John Christian Balesfayle both of Kirk Bride.
