This is affirmed to be the last will and testament 
of Catherine Radcliffe als Quay wife to Silvester 
Radcliffe of Kk Patrick who departed this life 
about the 5th of February 1769, being in perfect 
mind and memory at the making thereof. 
First she committed her soul to Almighty God 
and her body to Christian burial. 
Item, she left to her grandsons James Cain’s 
two sons all her husband Silvester Radcliffe’s apparel. 
Item, she left to her daughter Anne Scot 
a guinea legacy. 
Lastly, she nominated and appointed her 
granddaughter Anne Caine to be whole and 
sole executrix of all the rest of her 
goods moveable and immovable. 
Witnesses: 
Thomas Cain, 
Jane Carran. 

At a Chapter Court holden in 
Peeltown, 2nd March 1769, 
Anne Scott als Radcliffe one of the daughters 
of the above Catharine Radcliffe als Quay 
having appeared and objected to the above 
will, as … not a legacy or … value of any 
legacy at … left and bequeathed unto 
John Radcliffe & Robert Radcliffe sons of 
the testatrix Catharine, the said John 
& Robert Radcliffe who are abroad out 
of the Isle are therefore decreed joint 
executors with the above Anne Caine 
the executrix named in the above will. 
Whereupon James Cain father of the said 
Anne Caine who is underage is sworn 
executor in trust and is to bring to 
the Registry a perfect inventory of 
the goods of the testatrix Catharine 
Radcliffe as also to be just to the 
said John & Robert Radcliffe in the 
division of the executorship and to 
pay all the just debts and legacies 
of the testatrix and to these ends 
hath given pledges, namely Wm Mcylchreest 
of Kerrogarro a& Philip Kneen, both of German
