56        Andreas
The last will and testament of James Faragher 
senior of the parish of KK Andreas, who departed 
this life on or about the twenty-third day 
of December 1769, being of perfect mind and 
memory at the making thereof, at Easter last past.  
First, he committed his soul to God, and 
his body to Christian burial.  
Item, he left to his son James Faragher junior 
ten shillings legacy.  
Item, he left to his daughter Cathrine the wife 
of Daniel Cormode a parcel of his land called 
Bastin’s Flatt to be possessed by her during 
her natural lifetime; and afterwards to descent 
to her son John Cormode.  
Item, he left six pence legacy to whomsoever 
would sue for any right in his goods.  
Lastly, he nominated and appointed his said 
daughter Cathrine the wife of Daniel Cormode 
sole Executrix of all the rest of his goods 
and effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever.  
To the witnesses of this will he left 
six pence each.

Stephen Kneen’s X, jurati.          
At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre 22nd May 1770
Daniel Cormode husband of the above Executrix Cathrine 
is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given 
pledges for payment of debts and legacies vizt., 
the Witnesses of the will.
