This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses to be the last will and
testament of William Cain who dy'd on the 21st of June Anno-predicto, being
of a perfect mind and memory at the making thereof - Having committed his
soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
He willed and bequeathed to his nephew Patrick Cain a big chest, a blue coat
and his last hat.
ITEM:  He left to Ann Cain daughter of David Cain a chest he had going to
the Herring Fishery under his victuals.
ITEM:  He left to Patrick Cain his nephew and to Ann Cain before mentioned a
cow between them half and half share and share alike.
ITEM:  He left to David Cain son of David Cain thirty shillings.
ITEM:  He left to Mary Cain daughter of David Cain seven shillings.
ITEM:  He left to Patrick Clark and his wife of the parish of Jurby five
shillings.
ITEM:  He left to David Cain the executor hereafter named eight pounds to be
paid him by Patrick Nelson and his wife out of thirteen pounds the said
Patrick Nelson hath on interest and the remaining five pounds to the said
Patrick Nelson and his wife besides what interest was owe on the thirteeen
pounds.
AND LASTLY He nominated constituted and appointed his loving brother David
Cain before named sole executor of all the rest of his goods and effects
moveable and immoveable whatsoever.
ITEM:  He left six pence each to the witnesses of this his last will and
testament.

At a Chapter Court at KK Michael October 17,1771.  The executor is sworn in
court in form of law and agrees to allow his brother in law Patirck Nelson
the sum of 3 pounds of the amount fo his debt over and above the legacy
bequeathed unto him, the said Nelson.
Pledges:  Patrick Nelson, Thomas Cowley --- Kaighin Ballaugh paid by Patrick
Nelson all that was due to him.
