Lezayre may 29 1771 ~
Lezayre
Mary Garret otherwise Taylor of KK Maughold
departed this Life on or about the 4th day of Augt
last Intestate – and whereas none of the next Relations
have appeared, tho repeatedly Sumoned & called, to
administer the Goods & Chattels of the Intestate the
same is committed unto John Sayle as principal
Creditor, who is thereupon sworn to bring to the
Registry a perfect Inventory as also for payment
of Debts according to Law ~ He is to be accountable
for his Administration when thereunto required
and has given pledges in form of Law namely

The petition of John Sayle of Ramsey
Sheweth ~
That your Pettr a Creditor of the late Mary Garret
of said Town Widow -- was Sworn administrator of the
the sd Mary Garret – and accordingly has Given into
your Revd Court an Inventory, and also an accompt
Sales of sd mary Garrets Effects --- But as the sum of
the several orders Granted against your Petr on
account of sd Administration Exceeds by Far the
Remainder or over Plus of the sd Mary Garrets Effects,
after Funeral Charges, & House Rent, [blot] are Deducted
your Petr prays that an order of your Revd Court
Granted against your Petr in favour of Wm McDonald,
who will not admitt of any Proportion [words blotted out] of
said Mary Garrets Effects may be forthwith stayed
and Prays your Revce to order or [word blotted out]
appoint a Day of hearing this matter
which Granted yr Petr Shall ever Pray &c
Ordered that the matters come on to he heard before me on
Saturday Friday next where of McDaniel above named & all other
proper Parties & persons to have due notice – till which Day the
order complained of is stayed – Given 28 July 1773
