This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Catherine Key wife to Gilbert Key of the Parish
of Kirk Patrick who departed this life about the 25th March. Being in perfect mind and memory at
the making thereof – First she committed her Soul to Almighty God and her Body to Christian
Burial.
Item: She left unto her daughter Margaret Tear the sum of one crown.
Item: She left unto her daughter Elizabeth Corlet all her apparel of clothing both linnon and
woollen and a little spinning wheel, except a bed gown that she left unto Anne Caine Thomas
Caines wife.
Item: She left to her daughter Elizabeth Corlet three Kishans of oates.
Item: She left unto her husband Gilbert Key her part of the cow and as much as was in the House of
flax and woollen thread.
Item: She left unto her grandson Thomas Key one sheep two years old.
Lastly: She nominated and appointed her son Thomas Key to be whole and sole Executor of all the
rest of her goods moveable and immoveable.

hath given Pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies Vizt: Hugh Shimmin one of the
