This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses to be the last will and
testament of Stephen Kneale of the Logh Doo(LOUGH DOO) of said parish who
departed this life on or about the 12 April anno predicto being in perfect
mind and memory at the making hereof in manner and form following.  That is
to say:
First he committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Item - He left and bequeathed unto his loving wife Ellinor Kneal the best
or her choice of the cows and the bed whereon he and his said wife lay as
it was.
Item He left and bequeathed unto his son David Kneale the sum of twenty
pounds and he the said David and his executor (namely Stephen Kneale his
son) to be half and half share and share alike in all his the testators
clothes.
Item He left one shilling each to the two subscribing witnesses of this
his last will and testament.
Item  He left six pence legacy to each claimer.
and Lastly he nominated constituted and appointed his loving son Stephen
Kneale sole and whole executor of all the rest of his goods chattels and
effects  moveable and immoveable of what denomination soever.  As witness
our subscription this the Ninth day of June 1773.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael 9th June 1773 The executor is sworn
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for payment of
debts and legacies vizt Danl Kneal and Nicholas Christian both of Jurby
Probatum Est      Ja:P Wilkes
John Moon and Thos C Cubbon.

Dec 4 1780
This day David Kneale acknowledged to have received the sum of twenty pounds
as legacy bequeathed him by the lst will of his father Stephen Kneale as
also a moiety of his said father's clothes and he doth hereby acquit release
exonerate and discharge the -----of his said father of
said legacy.   Before Me
