At a Consistory Court holden at KK Michael Dec 14th 1775
Alice Moore als Bridson departed this life on or about the 12th 
day of November last past intestate.  The court having received 
intelligence thereof hath decreed her five children namely Jane, 
Margt, Thos, Ann and John Moore joint administrators of all her 
goods and chattels moveable and immovable whatever - who 
being all under age their uncles by the mother's side Robert 
Brew, Thomas Oats and Thos Bridson are sworn guardians and 
supervisors of them the said guardians and supervisors with the 
Thos Moore the widower are sworn for payment of the intestate 
debts so far as the goods wyll extend and the law shall bind and 
to return a perfect inventory to the Registry.  The widower by 
consent of the said guardians has the children and their goods 
committed to this tuition and has given pledges in form of law 
namely the said Robert Brew, Thos Oats and Thos Bridson.
The humble petition of Thos Bridson, Robert Brew and Thomas 
Oates all of this parish of Santan.
Sheweth That Alice Moore als Bridson of the said parish of KK 
Santan died on the twelfth of this instant Novmeber intestate and 
has left five children behind all under age.  That there are effects 
belonging to the said children and also as your petrs apprehends 
there are some debts due by Thos Moore their father and your 
petrs being brothers in law to the said Alice deceased and next 
of kin to the said children being doubtful of an imbesslement of 
the said childrens goods.
Most humbly prays that your petitioners as next of kin to the 
said children may be sworn guardians to the said children for the 
sure preservation of the said children rights and are ready to give 
sufficient pledges for the same or such other guardians as your 
Reverence shall think proper to appoint and your petitioners as 
in duty bound shall ever pray.
Ordered that the matters of this petition do come on to be heard 
at a Consistorial Court to be holden at KK Michael on Thursday 
the 14th Dec next whereof all proper parties and persons to have 
due notice and service.

At a consistory court holden at Castletown Feb 24th 1780.  Jane 
Moore one of the children of the said Alice Moore having 
arrived at lawful age is this day sworn guardian and supervisor 
in form of law to the children and the said Alice Moore who are 
under age and their former guardians are thereupon discharge of 
their guardianship   John Moore  Ev Christian.
