This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament of John Key of Knock Moar in the Parish of Kirk 
Patrick who departed this life about the 8th day of January 1775 being in perfect mind and memory 
at the making thereof.  First he committed his Soul to Almighty God and his body to Christian 
Burial.

He left unto his son John and his two daughters Anne and Jane the sum of ten pounds to be divided 
equally between them.

He left unto his son Patrick the sum of one guinea.

He left unto his son in-law Philip Kinley a ? a vest and a waste coat of his wearing apparel every 
day clothes.

He left unto hi son Thomas a vest a piece of cloth that was in the house for a coat together with two 
barrels called coolers.

He left unto his daughter Anne the sum of one crown.

Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving wife Anne Key alias Carran to be whole and sole 
executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immovable including all other craving persons 
with sixpence a piece legacy.

At a Court of Correction holden at Peel the 17th July 1775.
The executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law ? hath given pledges for the payment of debts and 
legacies ? John Quirk and William Quirk both of Cronk ? Patrick.

John Key son of the within mentioned testator John Key, Thomas Karran husband of Jane Key and 
Philip Kinley husband of Anne Key daughters of said testator John Key acknowledged to have 
received the sum of ten pounds legacy bequeathed them by the Last Will and Testament of their 
said father John Key to be divided equally among them and each of them respectively acquitted and 
discharged Anne Key the executrix of the said legacy of Ten pounds as also did Philip Kinley 
husband of Anne Acknowledged to have received the further sum of a crown a legacy bequeathed 
his said wife Anne and acquitted their executrix of said legacy of a crown.
