At A Chapter Court holden at Castletown June 27th 1776.
John Martin departed this life on or about the twenty sixth day of March
last past intestate. The court upon intelligence thereof hath decreed his
four children namely Cath, Elizth, Esther, and Mary Martin joint
administrators of all his goods and chattels movable and immovable whatever
and Catherine being absent and Robert Brew husband of Esther and William
Christian husband of Elizabeth having relinquished and surrendered their
rights of the administration to Wm Taggart Husband of Mary - said Taggart is
thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the goods of the interstate, to
pay all hi just debts so far as the goods will extend and the law shall bind
and to be true and just to Catherine
aforesaid in the division of the goods and has given pledges in form of
lawn namely Wm Christian and Robert Brew above named.
