The Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Cowll 
late of the parish of Ballough being in parfect 
mind and memory at the making herof this the 17th 
day of April 1776.    
First she commited her soule to God and her body 
to Christian burial     
Imprimis she left and bequeathed her three gowns 
to the Revd Henry Corlett daughters that is to say 
her three best gowns and all other things that would fitt them.      
Lastly she nominated and appointed her loving mother 
whole and sole Executrix of all her goods and effects 
whatsoever exccluding her two brothers with with 
a pice of silver each allowing and desireing that 
her mother the Executrix would give such part of 
her clothes to her sisters and her brothers daughters 
and sisters daughters as she should think proper 
this the 17th day of April 1776.

At a Chapter Court holden at Peeltown June 7th 1776:  
Robt Cowle husband of the Execx above named is sworn 
in Court in form of Law & hath given Pledges for the 
payment of Debts & Legacies namely John Crain dyer 
of Peeltown, & Patr Cowle of Ballaugh.  
Probatum est & Solvit 12d.
