12        Malew
John Bridson senior of Ballacrink in the parish of KK Malew 
on or about the 25th day of December 1775 made this his last 
will and testament in presence of us the subscribing 
witnesses being in perfect mind and of a disposing memory 
at making hereof: 
First, he committed his soul to God and his body to the earth 
to be interred in a decent Christian manner.  
Also, he left and bequeathed unto his daughter 
Margaret the sum of two pounds.  
Also, he left and bequeathed unto his son Thomas his 
right of two colts and also his right of a certain bill 
which was on said tenement of Ballacrink.  
Also, he mentioned there was a certain cubbard in 
the house which was purchased by his said son Thomas 
and that he the said Thomas might have said Cubbard for . . .  
Testator had nothing to say to said Cubbard and Lastly, 
he nominated constituted and appointed his son William 
and his son Thomas sole and joint executors of all the 
rest of his goods credits or effects be they of what 
kind or denomination whatsoever.  
And also declared is to be his will that whatsoever 
dealing his said . . . had done or might do.  
In the testators good to the time of his death that he 
the said Thomas was not give or hand or any account 
of the same unto William.  
And also left sixpence legacy unto any person or persons 
that might lay a pretended right unto any part of his goods or effects.

John Kennaugh, 
Thomas Fargher.   

At a Court of Correction holden at Castletown February 1777, 
The executors are sworn in Court in form of law 
as also to be just and true     

November 8th, 1779: 
This day Margaret daughter of the within Testator 
John Bridson acknowledged to have received and to 
be fully paid the sum of two pounds the same being 
a legacy bequesthed hereby the last will of testament 
of her said father John Bridson and she doth hereby acquit and hereof discharg 
the executors of her said father of said legacy 
of two pounds.
