26 German This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Catherine Kaighin als Stephen of Peel town who departed this life about the First day of Feb 1777 being sound and perfect mind and memory at the making and uttering hereof which are as follows: First She committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to a Christian burial. Item she left to her daughter Ann all the apparel both linen and woolen and little wheel and a bed rug. Item: she left to her son in law Thomas Corkill half of the big chest that her husband left to him in case that he would speak against this will. Lastly she nominated and appointed her loving son Thomas Kaighin to be whole and sole executor of all the rest of her goods and effects moveable and immovable whatsoever and excluding any other person or persons that might pretend to claim further right to her goods with six pence legacy a piece. Witness present: John Clague Jurati Mathias Oates At a Chapter Court holden at Peeltown Nov 14 1777. Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet as no objection has been offered against it - The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies vizt: Patrick Clucas of Ballalough and John Clague one of the witnesses.
