In the name of God Amen. The last will and testament of Margrett Cowley als Cubbon
of Knockbane in KK Michael being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory
at the making hereof made this hert last will and testament in manner and
form following - She committed her soul to God and her body to Christian
burial. She left five pounds a piece to her four daughters. She left six
pounds that was in the hands of their brother David Cowley and likewise a
web of linen soley that was makeing equally betwixt her aforesaid daughters
. She left to the two youngest of her aforesaid daughters being Margery and
Margrett Cowley equally betwixt them a webb of small whellin stuff. She
left to the eldest of her aforesaid daughters Catherine Cowley a furnished
bed one of the small chists and one of the old small wheels. She left to
her aforesaid daughter Margery the bigg white chist, one of the old small
wheels, a blankett and a sheet. She left to her daughter Margrett the new
small wheel and another small chist. She left to John Cubbon and Elizabeth
Cubbon being two of her brother's children then in the house half a crown
each further she left all her cloths and linens equally betwixt all her
daughters. Lastly she nominated and appointed John Cowley the heir whole
executor of all the rest of her goods movable and iommovable of what nature
or kind never excluding and debaring any other person or persons that would
claime any further right to her efects with six pence legacy - She left to
the witnesses of this will what ever the law provides - in such and like
case - witnesses to this will John Cowley and John Killip.
