This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Mary Cain als Quayle
who departed this life the 28th of May 1780 being of sound mind and memory
at the making and declaring hereof.
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Item she left to her two daughters namely Ann and Margaret Cain three pounds
a piece.
Item she left to her said two daughters all her apparel of woollen and
linnen between them and also the worsted yarn that was then within she left
between them in like manner.
Item she left to her said daughters one blanket a piece of the best
blankets; also a little wheel a piece; and her part of the sheep she left
between them in like manner.
Item she left to her said daughter Margaret her own Chest and shoes.
Item she left to her son James Cain her part of the purchased land.
She left 6d legacy to any person that would take upon him to break her will.
Lastly she nominated, ordained, and appointed her loving husband James Cain
and her said son James Cain sole executors of all the rest of her goods and
chattels movable and immoveable of what kind or nature
soever and 6d a piece legacy to the witnesses of her will.
