In the Name of god Amen – I Catherine Delgardno
Of the town of Douglas being of perfect mind and memory
Do make this my last will and testament in (the) manner
Following. I do humly (sic) give and devise to my daughter
Mary Dalgardno and neice Catherine Ball jointly in
Between them all my effects of what nature so ever
Sutch is my will that the said effects shall remain
And continue wholly and undisturbed in the possession
Of my daughter Mary Dalgardno until called for by
My Niece Catherine Ball. In Testimony whereof
I do and have hunto(sic) set my hand and sale (sic) this
Twenty second day of August One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Seventy Nine

I Mary Dalgardno one of the residuary Legatees in the above Will
Named is sworn well and truly to execute and fulfil this Will
And hath given Pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies

(and to return an Inventory of the same to the Registry when thereunto required)
