The last will and testament of Mary Martin als Mylecarrane of KK Malew who
departed this life about the 7th of May 1783 who being sound in
mind and memory at the making hereof.
First she committed her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian
burial.
Secondly she left and bequeathed to her son Thomas Brew the just sum
of two shillings and four pence and to her daughter Elizabeth Kennagh
als Brew the sum of two shillings and four pence, a fine sheet, three
yards of linen and her every day gown.
3rdly she left and bequeathed to her grand daughter Margaret Brew daughter
of Robert Brew her spinning wheel and five yards and a half of stuff and to
her granddaughter Jane Brew a single petticoat.
4thly She left and bequeathed to her grandson William Taggart the just sum
of four and twenty shillings and six pence to her grandson John Taggart the
sum of three shillings to her granddaughter Cath Taggart the sum of three
shillings and to her daughter Mary Taggart als Martin and
her daughter Esther Brew als Martin all the rest of her wearing and
shaped apparel equally between them.
5thly and lastly she nominated and appointed her daughter Mary Taggart als
Martin to be whole and sole executrix of all the rest of her goods moveable
and immoveable whatsoever and excluding all cravers with six pence a piece
legacy.

At a Chapter Court holden at St Mark's Chapel June 18th 1783.  Wm Taggart
husband of Mary Taggart is sworn executor in court in form of
law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely John
Harrison and Wm Mylchreest both of Malew.
