This is confirmed to be by the subscribing witnesses to 
be the last Will and Testament of Gilbert Sayle of the 
said Parish of Jurby being sick in body but of a 
disposing mind, memory and understanding did on the tenth 
day Nov. instant make and declare his last will and 
Testament in manner following.
First he committed his Soul to God and his Body to 
Christian burial
Item He left and willed to his Daur. Margaret his old 
black "cans" the crofts last year's crop for fodder for 
the cans and the roofs of his houses.
Item he left to his said Daughter Margaret and his 
Daughter Ann his household furniture exclusive of the 
furniture which belongs to Ann herself which was to be 
her own indisputable property.
Item he left to his son-in-law James Killey his cart
Item he left to his son Gilbert his great coat
Item he left to his neice at Thaudley will's poor 
Daughter four or five kishins of corn which was to be 
given her by his daughter Ann.
Item He willed and bequeathed to his grand son Thos. 
Killey that part of his purchased lands called the Poully 
to be possessed by him at the end and expiration of five 
years hence and to remain in the hands of the executor 
and executrix hereafter named untill said time.
And Lastly he nominated constituted and appointed his 
loving son-in-law James Killey and his loving daughter 
Ann sole and whole Executor and Executrix of all the rest 
of his Goods and Effects moveable and immoveable 
whatever, and one shilling to the witnesses hereof.

The exec. Are sworn in court in form of Law & to be true 
& just to one another in the division of the Effects & 
have given pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies 
namely W. Killey of Ballnahasney, & Wm Teare both of 
Jurby
