At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown on the 31st day of May 1785.
Margaret Bell als Radcliffe of the parish of Rushen having departed this
life on or about the 26th day of May instant intestate and this court having
intelligence thereof hath decreed her five children namely Isabel,
Catharine, Christopher, John, and William Bell joint administrators of all
and singular her goods chattels and effects moveable and immovable of what
kind or nature soever, who being all under age, Christopher Bell their
father is thereupon sworn their guardian and supervisor, as also well and
truly to administer the said effects in trust, to pay all the intestates
just debts so far as the goods will extend and the law shall bind him, and
to return a perfect inventory of the said effects to the registry of this
court. To which ends he hath given pledges in form of law, namely Richard
Harrison of the parish of Rushen and Richard Radcliffe of the parish of KK
Arbory.
