In the name of God Amen ~ I Alice Caine alias 
Cannell of the Parish of KK Michael being weak in 
Body tho of sound and perfect Mind & Memory 
blessed be God do make this my last Will and 
Testament in order to avoid Dispute among my 
friends and Relations I do Dispose of my worldly 
Goods in the Following Manner. ~ 

[F]irst 	I Bequeath my Soul to God and my Body to the 
	Holy Church Yard 
Item	I Bequeath and Leave unto my eldest Son William Caine 
	the one forth Part of the Crop and Cow in Calf to 
	be by him possessed as soon as he comes to Live on the 
	Premises as for the sd.cow my sd.son Wm.is to possess 
	the same immediately after my Decease 
Item	I Leave and Bequeath unto my Son John Caine the Sum of 
	Five Pounds. Item I Leave and Bequeath unto my 
	Daughter Christian Grimshaw Alias Caine the Sum of 
	Five Pounds. Also I leave and bequeath unto my Grand- 
	son John Maxwell the Sum of Five Pounds. 
Item	I Leave and bequeath unto the two Servant Girls Elizth. 
	Quayle and Elizth.Garrett a Gown and Petty Coat each. ~ 
Item	I Bequeath unto Jane Cannell a blue Mantle or Cloak. 
Item	I Leave and bequeath unto the Poor of the Parish of KK Michl. 
	the Sum of Twenty Shillings. 
Item	I Leave and bequeath unto the Witnesses of the Will a 
	Shilling each as a Legacy. I leave and bequeath unto my 
	Daughter Christian beforementioned all the Rest of my 
	Shaped Apparell both woolen and Linnen. 
Lastly	I Nominate Constitute and Appoint my Loving 
	Husband John Caine Whole and Sole Executor of all the Rest and 
	residue of my goods and Effects Movable and Immov[able] 
	of what kind or Denomination soever Excluding 
	every other Person or Persons that should endeavour [to] 
	break thro' this my Last Will and Testament with 
	a six pence each Legacy. In Testamony whereof I have 
	caused my Mark to be Subscribed to my Name this 
	28th.Day of September 1785.

	The Exedr. is sworn in Court in form of [Law] 
	and hath given Pledges for the Payment 
	of Debts and Legacies namely Thos.Coll[ier] 
	one of the Witnesses, & Patr.Cannell both of 
	KK Michael		Probatum est

		We John Grimshaw and John Cain Junr. of the Barnagh 
in the Parish of KK Michael do hereby Own and Acknowledge ourselves 
to have Received from the hands of our Father John Caine Senr. 
of the Barnagh the Sum of Five Pounds Each, the same being a 
Legacy Left us by our Mother Alice Cain of KK Michael Decd.in her last will & Testament & 
this is a Rect.in full of all Demands Concerning the said Legacs as 
Witness our Subscription & Marks this 17th.May 1787~

		Received from the hands of my Uncle Wm.Caine the Sum of Five 
	Pounds Manks the same being Legacy left me by my Grand Mother

the same to be their proper Act & Deed ~
