In the name of God Amen.  I John Quayle of Ballaley in the parish of KK
Michael being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory do
make publish and declare this my last will and testament.
First I commend my soul to the ---- of God through the admonition of ---
Jesus Christ.
Secondly  - I commit my body to the earth to be decently interred as my
executrix here after named shall direct and as to my worldly goods I dispose
thereof in manner following:
FIRST -  I give and bequeath unto my son William Quayle all my part or share
of Ballacowin which is to be possessed by him the said Wm Quayle immediately
after my decease and the decease of Margaret Quayle als Clark my wife or the
survivor of us in consideration of which he the said William Quayle is to
pay unto his brother Thomas Quayle the sum of six pounds Manks at possessing
the said premises.
SECONDLY - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Quayle my part or
share of the field called the Close to be possessed by her the said Margaret
Quayle after my decease and the decease of my wife or the survivor of us as
aforesaid.
THIRDLY - I give and bequeath to my daughters Jane and Christian Quayle
Twenty Pounds each.
FOURTHLY - I give and bequeath unto my son Thos Quayle the sum of Seven
Pounds which is to be paid unto him the said Thos Quayle immediately after
my decease by my son John Quayle the said sum being my share or dividend of
the fourteen pounds which my son John Quayle is bound to pay unto me for the
field called Cronk Cholly as may more fully appear by his the said John
Quayle's contract.  And the legacies left to said Thomas Quayle by his
grandfather and grandmother to be included in this sum of seven pounds.
LASTLY - I nominate and appoint my loving wife sole executrix of this my
last will and testament hereby revoking former wills by me at any time
heretofore made and do by presents cut of all other claimers with one
shilling legacy.
In witness whereof I have caused my name to be wrote and --- my mark
thereunto this 6th Day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six.

Signed published and declared by the testator as his last will of testament
in the presence of: John Corlett  Jurati

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael June 20 1787.  Notwithstanding this
will is proved but by witness yet as no objection has been offered. The
survivor is sworn in court in form of law hath given pledges for the payment
of debts and legacies namely Thos Cannell (Bark) John Corjeage both of KK
Michael.                      Probatum est   Thos Cubbon.
I John Cannel husband of Jane Quayle do hereby acknowledge to have received
and to be fully paid the sum of twenty pounds a legacy bequeath to my
foresaid wife Jane Quayle by the last will and testament of her father John
Quayle Ballaley and I do hereby acquit release exonerate and discharge the
executors of the last will and testament of said John Quayle of all claims
demands and with respect to said legacy of Twenty Pounds bequeathed my wife
Jane as aforesaid witness my subscription this 14th Nov 1792.  John Cannell
I Thomas Quayle son of John Quayle of Ballaby do hereby acknowledge to have
received and to be fully paid the sum of seven pounds at by and from the
hands of my mother Margaret Quayle -----of the last will and testament of my
father John Quayle and I do hereby acquit release exonerate and discharge
the said Magaret Quayle my mother of all and every part of said legacy of
seven pounds --witness my mark to my name this 14th Nov. 1792
