The humble petition of Matthew Crellin of KK German sheweth that your
petitioner' son John Crellin of the said parish some time ago departed
this life leaving four sons minor under the age of fourteen years.
That your reverence were pleased at a Chapter Court holden the 17th day of
October 1788 to appoint Ann the widow of the said John Crellin deceased sole
guardian and supervisor of the children of the said John Crellin deceased.
That the said Ann Crellin soon afterward though proper to enter into
marriage with her servant and hath been guilty of other acts of imprudence
by means whereof your petitioner is apprehensed that the
said children of his son deceased son may be neglected and their
property and guardian.
That your petitioner feels it indispensible duty as far as  is able to
attend the persons and property of his said grandchildren.
Your petitioner therefore prays a hearing of this petition and that proper
person may be appointed and sworn guardians of the said children and
your petitioner shall pray.
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at our next Consistory
Court to be holden at the house of Thos Quine in KK Patrick on Thursday next
whereof all proper  parties to have notice.

At a Consistory Court holden at the house of Thos Quine in the parish of KK
Patrick on the 26th day of August 1790.
John Harrison of KK Santan uncle to the said orphans by their fathers
side and William Quirk of KK Patrick their grandfather by their mother's
side are sworn their guardians and supervisors in form of law.

The last will and testament of John Crellin senior of Beary in the parish
of KK German being written signed and executed this 11th day of June 1788.
First he commited his soul to Almighty God and his body to Christian
burial.
He bequeath and left to his son William Crellin the sum of seven pounds.
He bequeathed and left to his son Mathew Crellin the sum of seven
pounds.
He bequeathed and left to his son Thomas Crellin the sum of seven
pounds.
He bequeathed and left to his four son's before mentioned his shaped apparel
of woolen and linen to be distributed equally between them as
his executor shall see proper and necessary wanting the same.
He bequeath and left to his loving wife Ann Crellin als Quirk his whole
Flack's mill during the time she is to continue in his name.
He bequeathed and left to his son John Crellin his moriety of the
husbandry gears.
Lastly he nominated constituted and appointed his loving wife Anne
Crellin als Quirk whole and sole executrix of all the rest of his goods and
effects moveable and immoveable of what nature or denomination soever and
debar's any person or person's claiming sueing or pretending any further
right to his  goods and effects with six pence legacy.
