In the name of God Amen.
I  Barnabas Kennish of the parish of KK Santan being weak in body but of
sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in
manner following:
First and principally recommend my soul to Almighty God and my body to
a decent Christian burial.
Item:  First I give and bequeath to my son Christopher Kennish all the
dealings that is between myself and Robert Keag and do order the said
Christopher to give to my son William's daughter three pounds.
Item:  I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Ann Kennish all the wool
I have in the house.
Item I give and bequeath to the poor of the parish thirty shillings and the
same is to be distributed amongst them as the said Thomas Kennish my son
thinks proper.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my two sons Thomas Kennish and Christopher
Kennish whole and sole executors of all the rest of my goods moveable and
immoveable of what kind or nature soever, debarring all claimers with six
pence legacy that should any ways crave to break the said will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my name or mark this 10th day of

At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown the 4th June 1788.  The executors
are sworn in court in form of law as also to be faithful and
just each to the other in the division of the residue of the estate of the
testator and have given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely
Wm Brew one of the witnesses and Wm Kneale of the parish of St Ann.
