Malew
In the name of God Amen
We William Taggart and Eleanor Taggart
alias Bridson of the Estate of Cordeman
in the parish of Malew, considering the un-
certainty of this life and the impropriety
of delaying to settle our worldly affairs, do
while Providence continues to us the Bless
ings of Reason of a sound disposing mind
and memory make our last Will &
Testament jointly in the manner hereafter
mentioned.
In sure and certain hope of a hap
py Resurrection to Eternal Life through
the Merit of our Saviour Jesus Christ
we resign our souls to the mercy of
God & leave our Bodies to be decently intered.
We bequeath to our Daughter
Elizabeth at present in England the
sum of Five pounds, to be paid after our
Decease. We also leave and bequeath to
our two Grand children, Wm Taggart &
Eleanor Cain one sheep and lamb each
Lastly and of the mutual goodwill
and conjugal affection we bear each other
we do hereby nominate constitute and
appoint the longest liver or surviving
Person of us the said Wm Taggart and Eleanor
Taggart alias Bridson sole Executor of all
the Remainder of our Goods, Cash, Credits
and Effects excluding every other Person
or Persons with sixpence Legacy each.
And in testimony of this our joint
Will have caused our names to be
hereunto set this 9th Day of January
in the Year of our Lord 1782

At a consistory Court holden at the
house of Thos Quine in the Parish
of KK Patrick 26th June 1799
William Taggart the Testator having
departed this life, Eleanor Taggart the
surviving Testatrix is hereupon
sworn in Court in form of Law
and hath given pledges for the paymnt
of debts and legacies, namely Thos
Caine & Wm Taggart both of Malew
Probatum Est
