In the name of God Amen.
Alice Costain of Ballaskilpatrick in the Parish of
Christ Rushen being weak and infirm in Body
but of a sound Mind & memory & calling to mind
the uncertainty of human life doth make this her last
Will & Testament in the manner following this
the 26th day of February 1791.
She commits her soul to God who gave it in
hopes of a happy & joyful resurrection thro' the
perils & sufferings of her blessed redeemer Jesus
Christ and also her body she commits to the Earth.
To Christopher Bell her son in law she bequeathes
the half of a brown Heifer in his own Possession.
Item she leaves Thos. Currin a yearling, and ano-
ther out of her sheep to Cath. Hutchin
all the rest of her sheep she bequeathes to Chris-
topher Bell Jr. & Jno. Christian Jr. equally to
be divided amongst them.
Item to her daughter Alice Hutchin alias Costain
she leaves a Chest, a blue Gown, a blue petticoat
a piece of stamped linen for a Bedgown, a blanket
(and?) a sheet
Item to her daughter Anne Bell alias Costain she leaves a blue
cloak
Item she leaves to Widow Keig a black Gown, a
black petticoat & a blue petticoat.
Lastly she nominates and appoints her son in
law John Christian, her executor of the rest of
her Goods, Chattles & effects moveable & immov
eable of what kind or nature soever~

Notwithstanding this will is proved but (as?)
one witness yet as no Objection has been
offered thereto. The Extr. Is sworn in court in form
of Law and hath given pledges for the payment
of Debts and Legacies namely Thomas
Waterson & Thomas Kermod both of Rushen
