In the Name of God Amen the Last will and testament of Charles Shimin of Aiey
Glass in the parish of Kirk German being through the abandant mercy and
goodness of God tho' weak in Body yet of a sound and perfect understanding
and memory do constitute this my last Will and Testament, and desire it may be
received by all as such this the 14th of Decmbr 1792.
Primus I most humbly Bequeath my soul to god my maker, and my body to Christian
Burial-
he left his part. of the sheep that was between himself and Charles Shimin his
brother's son in the Eary Vooar unto his wife Catherine Shimin als Quayle.
He left bequeathed and demis'd unto and upon his son and Heir, John Shimin all
his concerns of Houses and Lands, at said time his wife Cathrine Shimin als
Quayle consented to give all. her Right of Houses and Land upon her said son
and Heir John Shimin to be possessed by him after her Death also he the said
Charles Shimin left and Bequeathed unto his said son John Shimin his Cart
Ladders Plough with all the Rest of his Husbundry Gears with seed corn to sow
the said premises together with all the rest of his sheep, Provided he is to
pay unto Cathrine Killey his grandaughter the sum of Twenty Pounds when she
arives at the age of twenty, one years and not till then.
Item He left unto Charles Quiggin his grandson the sum of five pounds
He left unto his three daughters Namely Margt Catherine and Ann, that is to
say if I will die ....... (after?) Cleping time all my part of my wooll at
the tim...
Lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my Loving d ... Isabel Shimin whole
and sole Executrix of all... Rest of goods and Effects be they of what kind or
denomination sover, (sic) Excluding and desiring [?] all other persons with
sixpence legacy Each with one shilling and sixpence a pce to the witnesses of
this my Will.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Patrick June .. 1793 The Ex'rx is sworn in
Court in form of law & hath given pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies
namely Patrick Shim... one of the witnesses & John Shimin Airy[?]...
Cath Shimin the widow has given her consent that all her Right of the Houses &
Lands shall be possed by her son o... John Shimin after her Death as more
fully expressed in the will -

I Philip Quiggen father of the within named Charles Quiggen do hereby
acknowledge to have received the sum of five pounds a legacy bequeathed my said
son by the last Will & Testamt of his Grandfather Chas Shimmin as by & from
Isabel Shimin Exo" (?) of the last Will & Testament of her father Chas Shimmin
& I do hereby acquit release exonerate & discharge the the [?] said Isabel
Shimmin her son [?] or Assigns of all claims and demands on and of the said
Legacy As Witness my Name this 2d[?] Aug'

I, John Killey husband of Catherine Killey Grandaughter of Charles Shimin the
Testator deceased of the parish of KK German, do acknowledge to have received
from Philip Killey of the said Parish of German the legal representation of
John Shimin dec'd Who was the Heir at Law of Said Charles Shimmin the sum of
Twenty pounds being a Legacy bequeathed to my said wife in the last Will and
Testament of said Charles Shimmin And do hereby release acquit exonerate &
discharge the said Philip Killey his Exors Admors and Assigns of the same and
every part thereof As witness my Name this 26th Nov' 1817
