78      Lezayre
This is affirmed to be the last will and 
testament of Margret Quayle als Kelly 
wife of John Quayle of the parish of 
KK Christ Lezayre being of sound mind 
and memory at the making hereof on the 
17th day of December 1790 and the whole 
substance thereof written. 
First she committed her soul to God 
and her body to Christian burial. 
Item, she left and bequeathed to her 
son William her part of the sheep 
called the sheep of the Slewowir and 
her husband to have the benefit of 
said sheep till their said son come 
to age, and she appointed her said son 
to pay the sum of twenty shillings 
apiece to her two daughters namely 
Elinor and Margret, provided also 
that if he her foresaid son shall 
die under age or intestate that the 
above said sheep shall return to the 
rest of her children that then liveth. 
Item, she left to her daughter Joney 
her part of the sheep called the sheep 
of the Raadvane and her part of a 
heifer and the new chest. She left 
to her daughter Elinor twenty shillings. 
She left to her caghter Catharine 
forty shillings and a little wheel. 
She left to her daughter Margareet 
the sum of three pounds. She left to 
her three daughters namely Elinor, 
Cath, and Margaret her part of sheep 
that are not already above mentioned 
equally between them. 
Item, she left to her three daughters 
vizt., Joney, Elinor and Catharine her 
clothes and linen. 
Item, she left unto Joney Kneen daughter 
of William Kneen a piece of stuff for 
a petticoat and a bed gown. 
Lastly, she nominated appointed and 
ordained her loving husband John Quayle 
whole and sole Executor of all the rest 
of her goods chattels and effects of 
what nature soever. And to the witnesses 
of this her will she left one shilling 
apiece. 
Note, John Quayle the husband do hereby 
give his consent to give their foresaid 
son his part of the sheep called the 
sheep of Sleu-ower after his decease.

At a Chapter Court holden at 
Lezayre, June 19th, 1793
Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one 
witness yet as no objections has been offered 
the Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law 
and also guardian of the children underage, 
he has also consented his son John shall get 
his part of the sheep called the sheep of Sleu 
ower after his decease, and hath given pledges 
for the payment of depts. And legacies vizt., 
Gilbert Kelly and John Crow both of Lezayre
