In the name of God, Amen.  
We JOHN QUAYLE AND ELINOR QUAYLE ALS KILLIP 
MY WIFE of Camnial of the Parish of KK Michael 
being now in our declining years yet being 
of a sound mind and perfect memory blessed 
be God, and considering the uncertainty of 
this mortal life, do therefore in order to 
settle our worldly goods and effects do mutually 
join in making this our last will and 
testament in manner following.  
First, committing our souls to Almighty 
God and our bodies to Christian burial.  
2ndly, we leave and bequeath to our SON IN LAW 
JOHN RATCLIFT of KK Andreas the sum of one pound Manks.  
3rdly, we leave and bequeath to our 
SON IN LAW PATRICK BREW the sum of one 
pound Manks.  
4thly, we leave and bequeath to our 
GRANDSON JOHN RATCLIFT meason the sum 
of two pounds Manks.  
5thly, we leave and bequeath to our 
GRANDSON JOHN QUAYLE a black sheep 
and a lamb.  
6thly and lastly, we nominate and appoint 
our SON WILLIAM QUAYLE and our DAUGHTER 
ANN QUAYLE joint Executors of all the rest 
of our goods and effects moveable and 
immoveable of what kind or nature soever, 
excluding all other person or persons 
that might pretend to claim further right 
to our goods and effects with six pence legacy.  
In witness whereof we have set our marks 
to our names this the 18th of August 1790, 
JOHN QUAYLE my X, 
ELINOR QUAYLE ALS KELLY my X.

IT IS MY DESIRE THAT the following Articles 
should be written to my last will and testament. 
I do hereby certify that I have given to 
my SON WILLIAM QUAYLE the aforesaid Executor 
a sum of xxx to pay for a parcel of land 
which he purchased and I never gave anything 
to my DAUGHTER ANN QUAYLE the aforesaid 
Executor to compare with the said sum.  
Therefore I leave and bequeath to my 
DAUGHTER ANN QUAYLE a cow which was bought 
from the Parish of KK Bride and also a bed 
with the clothes beonging to it this 
the 23 of April 1793.

AT A CHAPTER COURT HOLDEN AT 
KK MICHAEL June 18, 1793
JOHN QUAYLE one of the Testators having 
departed this life, the Executors are 
sworn in Court in form of Law and also 
to be true and [just] the one to the other 
in the division of the effects, and have 
given pledges for the payment of debts 
and legacies namely the witnesses of 
the Will.
