William Karran, 1793

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas on the 22d day of October 1793 ­
William Karran of the parish of Kirk Marown having departed this Life on or
about the 19th day of June last past (Intestate) and this Court having
received intelligence thereof have Decreed his only Child namely Margaret
Sherlock (?) als Karran Administratrix of all and singular his Goods
Chattels and Effects movable and immovable whatever and John Sherlock her
husband is thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the Estate of his
Intestate and to pay all his just Debts so far forth as his Goods and
Effects will extend and the Law shall bind him   To which Ends he hath
given Pledges in form of Law namely Thomas Clucas and John Kermod both of
the parish of Marrown ­
