Philip Cain, 1795

 

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre on the 23rd June 1795

 

Philip Cain of the parish of Lezayre having
Departed this life on or about the 12th day of October 
1794 Intestate and this Court having received
Intelligence thereof hath decreed his children
Namely Philip, Thomas, Margaret Joney and
Jane Caine co-administrators of all and singular
His goods, chattels and Effects movable and
Immovable whatsoever.  And the said Philip, Thomas
Margaret and Jane with John Killip husband of
The said Joney having in open Court relinquished
Their rights in the Administration of the said Estate
To Jane Cain their Mother.  She is therefore sworn
Well and truly to administer the Estate of the intestate
And to pay all his just debts so far forth as his goods
And effects will extend and the Law shall bind her
To which ends she have given pledges in form of Law
Namely Philip Cain of the Parish of Kk Bride and
John Killip her son in law
