At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown on the 13th day of October
1796.
Ann Bell of the parish of Trinity Rushen having departed this life on or
about the 18th day of August last past intestate and this court having
received intelligence thereof hath decreed her children namely William,
Patrick, Ann, and Jane Bell co-administrators of all and singular her
goods chattels and effects moveable and immoveable whatever, who
being all under age, Christopher Bell their father is thereupon sworn
their guardian and supervisor as also in trust for them well and truly to
administer the estate of his intestate to exhibit a true and perfect
inventory thereof unto the Episcopal Registry and to pay all her just
debts so far forth as her goods and effects will extend and the law shall
bind him.  To which ends he hath given pledges in form of law namely Edmund
Christian and Thomas Kermode both of the parish of Rushen.
