Philip Moore, 1796

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas on the 12th day of October 1796 ­

Philip Moore of the parish of Kirk Lonan having departed this life on or
about the 7th day of June last past Intestate and this Court having
received intelligence thereof hath Decreed his Children namely Elinor, Jane
and Isabel Moore Co-administratrices of all & singular his Goods Chattels
and effects movable & immovable whatever, Thomas and Margaret two other
Children of the Intestate being provided for (as is alledged) by marriage
Articles ­ John Faragher husband of the said Elinor and James Kewley
husband of the said Jane and the said Isabel are therefor sworn well and
truly to administer the Estate of their Intestate to pay all his just debts
so far forth as his Goods and Effects will extend and the law shall bind
and to be faithful and just each to the other in the division of the
Residuum of the said Estate ­ to which Ends they have given pledges in form
of Law namely John Cain of the parish of Andreas and John Kewley of the
parish of Lonan
